Mission Statement

The mission of One Church, One Child of Oklahoma is to inform the community of the need for foster/adoptive homes and identify families interested in adopting or fostering children.

Description

One Church, One Child of Oklahoma is a nationally recognized nonprofit special recruitment program designed to find foster and adoptive homes for children. We provide an organized method of reaching out to the community through churches and other organizations to explain the needs of children in the child welfare system who have been abused and neglected. The OCOC method of recritment offers a simple challenge to faith based and community organizations to assist in identifying from it's membership at least one family that is willing to become a foster/adoptive parent. The OCOC program is governed by an interdenominational ministerial Board of Directors, in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services.
