Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing by partnering with others in the community to provide simple decent housing for qualified individuals and families.
Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity was formed in 1993 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, International by local citizens and members of the clergy who wanted to address the issue of sub-standard housing in Neosho and the surrounding area. The goal was to partner with deserving families by providing a means of moving into simple, decent housing. In the process, an additional goal is to eradicate the sub-standard housing in the area. To date, the affiliate has constructed nine new homes, remodeled one donated house, and re-cycled two of the newly constructed houses to two additional Habitat families.
