Mission Statement

Our mission is to rescue, rehome, and promote understanding, respect and compassion for cattle dogs. We believe through education, responsible ownership, health care, and training of both owners/handlers and the dogs we can have a balanced household (pack).

Our goal is to provide a much better living environment for our cattle dogs by providing good food, exercise , veterinary treatment and loving care for all our homeless fosters.

Description

Australian Cattle Dog Rescue of IL, Inc. 501 (c)3 Charity, state licensed rescue shelter located on a ranch in Texico, IL owned and operated by founder and President Sue Christianson. The rescue is all volunteer and many people are involved in the process of rescuing cattle dogs from kill shelters throughout several states. The dogs are rehabilitated, completely vetted, evaluated and placed in foster homes in Southern IL (Salem), Central IL (Peoria), and Northern IL (Joliet) , where their skill levels are evaluated, crate training and social skills are honed while they await loving forever homes!
