Description

In cooperation with Nicholson, Spencer & Associates Training Institute (NSA), the City and County of Broomfield has developed a mentoring program for at-risk youth. NSA has a 20-year history of partnering with agencies and communities to provide quality training and program development. Broomfield Health & Human Services (BHHS) has been serving the citizens within the City and County of Broomfield since November 2001. BHHS is committed to provide oversight to all participants of this mentoring program. Research on mentoring programs has shown that youth who have had a mentor: graduate high school more frequently, are less likely to use drugs and alcohol, become more involved in the community, have more positive school behaviors, and have improved relationships with adults and peers.
