Often seniors and their loved ones feel overwhelming isolation due to a decline in health and or increased caregiving responsibilities. These are our neighbors, our grandparents, our friends who find themselves confined and lonely in what we all imagined & hoped to be the best years of their lives. We can make a difference. We can remind them they are loved and never forgotten. We can add that spark of sunshine. We can give them the greatest gift of a loving & caring presence. Our volunteers find themselves in the most meaningful and impactful volunteer experience ever! Pop In for a Social Visit! It is as simple as one to two hours shared with an elderly person or providing support and understanding to a family caregiver. Whether it is porch sitting, sharing a cup of coffee or a light meal, catching up on family news & current events, reminiscing, or simply a quiet & reassuring presence, you can make a difference Training and one to one assistance is provided throughout your volunteer experience and visit times and locations are chosen and matched to meet each volunteer’s busy schedules, location, and lifestyle preferences. You will be a integral member of our Providence Care Team of Nurses, Doctors, Chaplains, and Social Workers. Whether you wish to learn a new skill, share your talent & time, or meet new friends, this volunteer experience will forever touch your heart and enlighten your life.
