Description

Dinner with Grace is a collaborative ministry of Grace Cathedral, Episcopal Community Services, and the formerly homeless of the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Dinner with Grace - through the preparation and sharing of a healthy meal - builds community, engenders empathy, ends isolation and combats loneliness for volunteers and those we serve.

Best volunteering experience yet. De Facto solidarity, respect and group purpose without a word to encourage such a condition. You walk in and you're part of it. Low key, enduring energy. Half-way house residence weave in seamlessly in the effort and in conversation. Nice walk around the city didn't hurt either.

We not only serve 70 meals, we actually get to sit down with the people and get acquainted with the residents and the other volunteers. Everyone is really friendly. Can't wait until next time! Michael

Great diverse group and I learned to cook. No major committment and there is a meal included!
