Hannah's Family Center

Hannah's House has a new application online. It is required that the applicant list their birth date. HH claims it's because some volunteer positions have an age requirement-- then why doesn't HH ask only those applicants for their DOB or ask whether the applicant is over or under a certain age? I see more and more volunteer organizations doing this and claiming the same as above, but isn't it very possible HH is discriminating based on age or sharing the applicants' DOBs with a third party (another volunteer org on this site has admitted to doing this in order to get grants)? If you want to volunteer, I suggest expressing concern over the required DOB question so HH considers deleting this from the application.

The mission of this organization speaks to me! For me and my fellow parents, everything we do is for our kids. When kids are well loved and supported there is no telling what great things they can accomplish!!

Never got back to me, never contacted me

I chose this orgnization because art is life. I have spent all my childhood dreaming about a world in which everyone can be help- and peaceful. Where people are really happy, children smile, people can fly, clouds can talk, buildings can dance and sing. Then I realized the world is not a place like that but I do not want to give up that dream. So I chose your organization from which I believe of coming closer to establishing that reality. Maybe world can be more colourful with art and children.
