Mission Statement

The mission of Ujima Holistic Family Health Center is to provide public health oriented, holistic medical, social and mental health services to the indigent, underserved and uninsured working families in East Oakland. Our objective is to reduce the health disparity gap for low-income minority families and improve the well being of African American, Latino and the immigrant population residing in the East Oakland area. According to the 2000 census data, this targeted population covers over 88% of the population of East Oakland.

Description

Services to be provided include: Family Practice Medical Services Family planning services Chronic illness management (i.e. HIV, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, etc.) Pediatric services Women's Health Special Programs HIV Case Management and Clinical Care Substance abuse counseling, treatment, and prevention Pregnancy prevention Case management and workshops for youth Child abuse prevention for children 0 to 5 years of age
