Communities In Schools of Pitt County helps young people stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life by connecting needed community resources with schools.

Description

Communities In Schools of Pitt County believes all students need and deserve five basic resources: 1) A one-on-one relationship with a caring adult 2) A safe place to learn and grow 3) A healthy start and a healthy future 4) A marketable skill to use upon graduation 5) A chance to give back to the community. We partner with area agencies and organizations to: Increase school attendance; Provide students with academic support; Offer educational and cultural enrichment activities; Assist in reducing school violence; Help students graduate from school.
