Mission Statement

Jewish Family and Community Services has the mission of supporting people through life's changes and challenges. We work to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community by providing exceptional psychological, employment and social service programs, guided by Jewish traditions of social responsibility, compassion and respect for all members of the community. Services are provided and referrals are made without regard to race, gender, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, disability or age.

Description

Jewish Family and Community Services of Pittsburgh (JFCS) is an independent 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life of children, families and adults of all ages throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area by providing psychological, employment and social services.

For more than 80 years, JFCS has remained vital and relevant--and always available to respond, no matter how difficult the problem--by continuously adapting our programs and services to meet the changing needs of our dynamic population. We are known as a leader in providing innovative and effective social service solutions to problems facing families and individuals of all ages.
