Mission Statement

The TYME Foundation’s mission is to develop positive young male & female leaders and mentors to prevent the rise in gang affiliation, juvenile crime, and high drop out rates. We provide The Boys to Men Enrichment Program, The Black Excellence Syndicate and The African American Academy which offers: tutoring to assist with academic achievement, extracurricular activities and outings to assist with character building, and counseling and seminars to assist with their personal development. After attending the program these boys & girls will value education, be more confident, and have a positive perspective for the future.

Description

The TYME Foundation is an organization based on the principle of teaching young men & women excellence. The Boys to Men Enrichment Program, The Black Excellence Syndicate and The African American Academy are The TYME Foundations’ youth outreach programs center in South Los Angeles. The Boys to Men Enrichment Program is based on three principles:

Scholastic achievement through tutoring;

Character building through extra-curricular activities and events;

Personal development through counseling, leadership seminars, and community service.

Our goal is to assist inner city male & female youths as they matriculate from children to young men & women. Aside from traveling sports teams and gangs, many inner city males & females don't have many positive adult male/female role models to help them learn attributes of integrity, self-sufficiency, and good judgment as they become young adults. It is instinctual for a child to seek their identity which in turn demands guidance, camaraderie, and a place to belong.
