The purpose of Young Americans is to further the economic education of young people so they will be competent and knowledgeable in managing their financial affairs and may prosper in the free enterprise system.

Description

International Towne - Program for middle school students. Students explore an array of global economic and cultural concepts and culminate by running the world as a citizen of one of 16 countries represented (1,000 participants) Youth Entrepreneurism - Teaches youth the basic skills necessary to start and run their own business. Educational programs are combined with a marketplace opportunity to sell their products and services (100 participants) Other Programs - A variety of youth programs on financial education, credit responsibility, investing and realed topics (1,800 participants) Young AmeriTowne - An educational program for ages 10-12 in which students explore basic economic concepts and then run their own life-sized town. Uses a "learn by doing" approach to teach economics, financial skills and career exploration (More than 13,300 participants)
