Mission Statement

The mission of James F. Farr Academy is to serve young adults with academic, emotional and behavioral difficulties, ultimately transforming them into creative endeavors that prepare them for success in life. We offer a variety of educational programs and services to children at major risk of dropping out of school, to help them overcome obstacles that stand in their way.

Description

Farr Academy serves as the last chance for many children and young adults before they drop out of school forever. We try to break down the barriers and help them to regain confidence in themselves and develop their full potential. We also operate a residential facility for children and young adults with developmental delays and autism, and a preschool for children from 3 months to five years of age. We believe that every child, no matter what his or her condition may be, is entitled to the richest, fullest life possible.
