Seeking to put God’s love into action, Newberry Habitat for Humanity brings the people of Southern Deschutes County together to build homes, communities and hope.

Description

Using volunteers, Newberry Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates simple, affordable housing for low income people and families who are otherwise unable to qualify for a traditional mortgage loan. Once completed, the home is sold to the family for the cost of construction via a zero interest 25 year loan. Additionally Newberry Habitat volunteers assist low-income elderly and disabled homeowners in the community with emergency home repairs, minor exterior maintenance, and issues of safety and accessibility.
