Mission Statement

The mission of the Rusk County Community Library is to provide quality materials and services which fulfill the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is friendly, respectful, and professional.

Description

The Rusk County Community Library is a public library that serves everyone in Rusk County, as well as any patron of the MORE system with reading materials, movies on VHS and DVD, books on cassette and CD, story times for preschoolers, and educational/entertaining programs for teens and adults. We offer internet service in the building, and with WiFi. We also have an art gallery in the foyer area with new shows quarterly.

I love books and the people who read them so was natually drawn to the library to volunteer. The staff at the Rusk County Community Library are friendly and helpful. They provide a commonsense training program that allows volunteers to share the best of themselves with their community.
