Mission Statement

In a spirit of faith and compassion, Ruth's House, Inc. seeks to supply clothing to individuals and families in need that are referred to us by human service agencies and faith-based groups throughout the Greater Merrimack Valley.

Ruth's House operates a thrift store where community donated items are given to families in need. In order for Ruth's House to accomplish our mission, community donated items are also sold at a very low cost.

Ruth's House is open to everyone.
Our motto, "Don't Throw It Away When So Many Go Without" is based on the premise that if people would stop throwing away their still-usable items, more people could benefit from their abundance.

Description

Volunteers are the backbone of our mission. There is a great sense of 'community spirit’ through the volunteer program. Ruth’s House has volunteers from all ages and stages in life - retirees looking for a way to do community service, professionals donating their time as well as other caring individuals. The mission could not get a fraction of the work done without the community sharing their time plus donations
