Mission Statement

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows provides an atmosphere where people of all faiths have the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God and one another. We offer Catholic religious programs and devotional areas for spiritual renewal on two hundred landscaped acres. Christian hospitality is modeled in our restaurant, lodging, gift shop, and conference center. We inspire our pilgrims and employees to share the healing and the hope they find here so they are refreshed on their journey and , like Mary, courageously bring Christ's hope to a world in need.

Description

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows is owned and operated by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a religious order of over 70 countries. The site blends spirituality, unique architecture, and imaginative landscaping to create a serene setting. Twelve devotional areas are located throughout the grounds. Over 50 events, which are designed to reflect the Shrine's mission, are presented yearly, Perhaps the best known Shrine event is the Christmas Display of Lights, "The Way of Lights" which attracts over 300,000 visitors each year.
