Description
California Peace Action (CAPA) is the state's largest, grassroots peace and justice lobby, with nearly 50,000 supporters state wide. CAPA's mission is to build a powerful, multi-cultural grassroots movement to achieve the ultimate goals of abolishing nuclear weapons, stopping US weapons sales to human rights violaters, and cutting military spending and redirecting tax dollars to human needs. CAPA is committed to citizen involvement in the democratic process and works to involve Californians who share a commitment to peace and justice in grassroots lobbying campaigns. We work through legislative action, public education, direct action and media outreach. We are a feminist, anti-racist organization.
