Looking for musical entertainment of all kinds for listening, singing and dancing pleasure of seniors with memory loss at adult day care center. Audience responds best to old time sing alongs, big band era, polkas, waltzes, etc. and enjoys karaoke. Program hours 10 am- 4pm Monday through Friday.

A male volunteer is needed to facilitate a twice a month Men's group at our adult day program. The participants all have some form of memory impairment from Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The group would be a casual discussion and would involve guiding conversation on a variety of topics of interest to the participants. For example; your first car, sports you enjoy watching or sports played, your job, hobbies, etc. Currently we only have female staff in the program and the men have questioned a woman running the group. The group usually meets for one half hour in the afternoon around 2:30 or 3:00 p.m. We can be flexible about the days depending on volunteer availability.

Bring your well socialized pet/s to our adult day care center for people with memory loss. Do you have a friendly cat, dog, rabbit, hamster or other suitable pet that would enjoy being held? Does your pet have any tricks to perform? Program hours are 10 am-4 pm Monday through Friday.

Volunteers are needed to assist older adults with memory loss with baking activities in an adult day care program. Volunteers select the recipe, develop a shopping list, and work with the older adults to chop, sift, measure, and mix the ingredients. The dessert is enjoyed warm out of the oven!
