Description

American Mothers, Inc.(r) is a national non-profit organization that recognizes the important role of motherhood through educational programs and community outreach. Organized in 1933 as a division of J.C. Penney’s Golden Rule Foundation, American Mothers is the organiztion responsible for annually selecting the National Mother of the Year(r) from candidates across the United States, the District of Columbia, US Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Its purpose is exclusively charitable. The national headquarters is located in Washington, DC.
