Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The Rappahannock MRC Unit supports local public health, while advancing the priorities of the U.S. Surgeon General, which are to promote disease prevention, improve health literacy, eliminate health disparities, and enhance public health preparedness.
Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units are teams of local medical personnel, public health professionals and community members who volunteer to support public health initiatives and emergencies. Medical Reserve Corps volunteers build strong, healthy and prepared communities.
Registering for the Rappahannock MRC is simple and takes about 15 minutes on-line. Please go to http://www.vamrc.org and click on "Become a VA MRC Volunteer". From there, click on the word "Rappahannock" to sign up for our jurisdiction. After completing the registration for the Rappahannock Unit, the next step is to complete an MRC general orientation. All RMRC orientations are held at the Fredericksburg Health Department, 608 Jackson Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
