The Caribbean People International Collective Inc (CPIC) mission is to promote healthy lifestyles amongst persons of Caribbean decent and Caribbean-American in a professional, culturally based atmosphere where all those involved may benefit from knowledge and access to testing, counseling, educational practices, and life skills, giving them the opportunity to maintain a totally healthy life style. Above all, this organization will give first consideration to the principle that all persons are created for a purpose regardless of physical appearance and human weaknesses. Volunteers have the right to be given meaningful assignments, to be treated as equal co-workers, to receive effective and ongoing supervision, the right to full involvement as members of the agency, and the right to ongoing support and recognition for their contribution to CPIC. In return, volunteers agree to actively perform their duties to the best of their abilities, be accountable to the agency, and to remain faithful to the philosophies, policies and procedures of the agency. Upon joining the CPIC Family and CPIC Moniqueâ  s Helping Hands Support Center, all volunteers are expected to read, sign and honour the Volunteer Code of Conduct. The code stresses that CPIC volunteers have a responsibility to be ambassadors of CPIC. While performing their duties as CPIC volunteers, they have a responsibility to the wider community to conduct themselves in a manner, which reflects positively on the organization. In addition to the Code of Conduct, volunteers may be asked to sign a consensual agreement outlining the specific rights and responsibilities of the program area to which they are assigned.
The Caribbean People International Collective Inc (CPIC) will lead the way in creating a quality focused, highly responsive, proactive organization, supporting a culture driven population in reversing the spread of HIV and decreasing the rates of new infections through partnership in the Caribbean and the United States. We believe that quality and cultural must permeate every action taken by every employee or volunteer of CPIC. The initiatives in our Strategic plan are targeted towards creating a cultural transformation whereby care and support is the principal of everything we do.
