Above all, this organization will give first consideration to the principle that all persons are created for a purpose regardless of physical appearance and human weaknesses. Volunteers have the right to be given meaningful assignments, to be treated as equal co-workers, to receive effective and ongoing supervision, the right to full involvement as members of the agency, and the right to ongoing support and recognition for their contribution to CPIC. In return, volunteers agree to actively perform their duties to the best of their abilities, be accountable to the agency, and to remain faithful to the philosophies, policies and procedures of the agency. Upon joining the CPIC Family and CPIC Moniqueâ  s Helping Hands Support Center, all volunteers are expected to read, sign and honour the Volunteer Code of Conduct. The code stresses that CPIC volunteers have a responsibility to be ambassadors of CPIC. While performing their duties as CPIC volunteers, they have a responsibility to the wider community to conduct themselves in a manner, which reflects positively on the organization. In addition to the Code of Conduct, volunteers may be asked to sign a consensual agreement outlining the specific rights and responsibilities of the program area to which they are assigned.
