Mission Statement

Minnesota Women Ceramic Artists is a professional organization that supports women ceramic artists in Minnesota. MNWCA provides its members opportunities for exhibiting, networking and mentoring throughout their ceramic careers. MNWCA also furthers the creative and professional development of its members.

Description

Minnesota Women Ceramic Artists was founded in 2009 as an outgrowth of the first Exhibition of Minnesota Women Ceramic Artists in 2008.

Goals for 2012

Provide a bi-annual exhibition alternating between members-only and juried artists.

Encourage members to develop and execute ideas for additional exhibition opportunities.

Communicate monthly with members about MNWCA activities, opportunities and challenges.

Coordinate social and networking opportunities six times a year.

Develop a plan and budget for revamping website and digital communication environment.

Build a catalog of mentoring resources and a process for members to utilize it.

Provide quarterly critique sessions.

Provide workshops supporting creative and professional development six times a year.

Understand member satisfaction, retention and involvement with MNWCA goals, processes and activities.

Develop a 2012 budget as well as projected budgets for 2013-2015. Build the MNWCA brand.
