Mission Statement

To provide a quality supply of blood components to meet the needs of the communities served by The Blood Center and to provide the techincal support needed by the blood banking profession to achieve the highest safety and ethical standards.

Description

The Blood Center is a non-profit, community service organization founded in 1960 to provide blood and blood products to over 40 hospitals throughout southeast Louisiana. We are guided by a volunteer board of trustees made up of community leaders and hospital representatives.
