Mission Statement

To help people overcome life-altering issues such as: substance abuse, homelessness, neglect, abuse, hunger, gangs, etc., through first meeting their basic physical needs and then surrounding them with a strong/community based support system where they can make positive, lasting God-honoring changes in their lives.

Description

The Father's House Church of Oroville is not only a church, but a community service organization.

The Fathers House Church (TFHC) is located in the inner city of Oroville, California where substance abuse and poverty rule. Nearly one in two children are born into poverty garnering a 48 percent poverty rate (2010 Census).

We are actively trying to turn this community around.

Over the last 15 years we have: remodeled over 50 homes (some known drug dealing houses) in the inner city, trucked out over 300,000 lbs. of garbage from the alleyways and streets, we partnered with Butte County in ridding the streets of over 100 abandoned and broken down cars, our Mount of Olives Food Bank fed 22,000 people last year, our annual summer gardens provides the community with 20,00 lbs. of free produce, we have provided Christmas gifts to over 3,000 children, and each school year we have handed out hundreds of school supplies reaching more than 1000 children.

If your heart is to "Change Oroville," come partner with us and volunteer. Together we can be the change we wish to see in our community.
