To empower underserved individuals to become self-sufficient through the provision of housing and support services that are designed to break the cycles of violence, substance abuse, incarceration, and poverty that have placed our consumers at increased risk of homelessness.

Description

TPCS is the only enhanced emergency housing provider with facilities located in Irvington, New Jersey. Since its inception in 2002, the organization has provided emergency housing and services to over 895 single mothers, single fathers and their children. We believe that every person has the right to have dignity in their homelessness. We provide apartment-like settings as opposed to dormitory style shelters for our clients during their stay. This not only provides a sense of safety and stability for the client but helps the agency to address issues of independent living skills which better prepares our clients to transition to permanent housing.
