Mission Statement
Encore Pets, Inc., of Morehead City, NC, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking to save the lives of animals by maintaining a foster/adoption program for homeless pets, offering low-cost spay-neuter services to those in need, and educating the public on animal-related issues through our monthly pet newsletter.
We are dedicated to the ideal of animal rescue groups working together for the benefit of both the animals and the community.
Description
Encore Pets, Inc., is an accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer animal welfare organization, founded in 2007 and based in Morehead City.
Encore Pets has three primary focal areas:
1) Offering low-cost spay/neuter services,
2) Maintaining a foster/adoption program for rescued pets, and
3) Producing a monthly Pet Newsletter.
We are dedicated to the ideal of animal rescue groups working together for the benefit of both the animals and the community.
In justfour and a half years, Encore Pets has:
- facilitated the sterilization of 1,297 cats and dogs through our spay/neuter program,
- rescued and re-homed over 380 dogs and cats through our foster/adoption program, and
- produced a monthly Pet Newsletter which displays adoptable dogs and cats from local shelters and rescue groups and educates the public about animal-related topics and spay/neuter opportunities.
