R.E.S.C.U.E. is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization located in Phoenix, Arizona. We are the largest no-kill animal rescue organization in Maricopa County. Our focus is euthanasia list rescue from our county shelters. We are the last voice for the dogs and cats, who, through no fault of their own, find themselves awaiting death at our county pounds. R.E.S.C.U.E. has no central facility and is driven by volunteers. Our vision is to elevate the status of animals in society through facilitating a culture change in how people acquire animals and how they commit to those animals they choose to make a part of their family. Our motto - For every animal adopted, we are back at the pound rescuing another. Since our inception in 1995, we have fulfilled that promise over 8,000 times. Those 8,000 dogs and cats wouldn't be enjoying their second chance at life today without R.E.S.C.U.E. and the tremendous support we've received from our community and animal lovers everywhere.
