To successfully improve the quality of life of Mexican communities through hands on practical organic farming training using sustainable soil and water preservation practices. The trained graduates return to their communities where they, the former students, become the trainers. This multiplier effect becomes the catalyst to development and long-term sustainable self- sufficiency.
The ACA Center in Jaltepec is a fully operational ecological-based, organic farm and educational center. There students learn eco-safe organic farming, conservation methods, community garden development, modern marketing techniques and "healthy lifestyle" food preparation. We actively promote eco-safe growing at the community level and also provide garden development and conservation support to help insure crop success and improve soil quality using ecologically sound standards. ACA also provides on-site training programs for schools, international students, ecological groups and the Mexican farming community. Our primary objective is to help Mexican communities learn to become self-sufficient and improve health standards by growing and marketing organic produce locally. ACA - SOMETHING FRESH UNDER THE SUN At ACA, our non-profit learning center is supported by the generous gifts from benefactors, grants, fund raisers and these on-going programs: The Great Greens Cooperative. This coalition of area growers supplies organically grown produce to hotels, restaurants, food stores, clubs and other organizations. At stores, restaurants and markets, the demand for our product is far ahead of our current production, so our future sales growth is assured. With your support, ACA can become fully self-sustaining. GG's Country Store. Our retail store, located in Jaltepec, sells our organically grown produce, herbs and gourmet gift items. Within the store is a salad-and-juice Café, an eco-based library and a full garden supply center offering utensils, fertilizer, seeds, fresh plants and more. Customers can walk through our gardens and visit our learning center, discovering the benefits of eco-safe farming, conservation and healthy food preparation. ACA - PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE 100% of the proceeds from the market and organic cooperative goes to support the many ACA multi-cultural community programs. In addition, ACA donates produce and time to such worthy organizations as orphanages, retirement homes and nursing facilities. ACA is a registered Mexican Non-Profit organization, and as a division of NPI ACA can now offer 501(c)3 charity receipts. The center and the gardens are operated by former students of the program, and creates vital employment through the development of safe agro- micro economies throughout Jalisco. ACA NEEDS YOU ACA relies on your generous support. Please consider helping us as we continue fostering ecological, health and conservation improvements in Mexico. Your support is our lifeline.
