Mission Statement

Our mission - Reduce the number of cats euthanized in the area by providing low cost spay/neuter programs and education of the public. Our mission is to protect the welfare of the animals we come in contact with, and to promote the humane treatment and well being of these animals by:

  • Providing shelter and medical care for stray or abandoned cats in El Dorado, Sacramento and Placer counties.

  • Responding with our personal commitment, humane sensitivity, compassion, and technical skill to the needs of these animal.
  • Actively promoting suitable adoptions of the animals.
  • Encouraging the spay and neutering of dogs and cats to ensure the numbers of unwanted animals be kept to a minimum; and helping to prevent cruelty to animals by promoting animal welfare legislation and education.

Description

  1. Nineteen years in operation.

  2. 10,000 animals seen each year.

  3. 2,000 cat (and now dog) rescues per year.

  4. Over 100 foster homes (not nearly enough)

  5. Over 150 volunteers (how about you?)

  6. Always one of the lowest cost spay/neuter clinics in the central valley.
