Mission Statement

Namaste,

Read an article just released about us in The New York Times :

About our weekly meal :

Meals are accompanied by drumming, singing, learning and leisure. No one is denied food, no one is charged money, and all are encouraged to eat heartily.

Namaste, originally from Sanskrit, loosely means to pay homage to the inner light in all living things. This represents the purpose of Curry Without Worry™: feeding hungry people; doing so in a dignified manner; and encouraging peaceful coexistence.

Each meal costs $2, and is generally made up of 5 courses (see menu below). We are able to accept donations, every $2 donated equals one meal served!

While we desire to feed those people most in need of a hot meal, it is also our philosophy that hunger is not defined by an empty stomach. For this reason, Curry Without Worry is open to whomever hungers to join us. We hope that you soon join us as well.
