If you have an hour a week to spend talking with, reading to or watching TV shows with someone then we need you on our team. Why volunteer? You will receive immeasurable reward. We provide excellent training and on-going support for our volunteers, who make an incredible difference in people's lives. Patient support volunteers make regular visits, providing companionship, emotional support, and care. Some also relieve caregivers who need to take a break. Administrative volunteers assist us with vital tasks related to patient care. Our volunteers always say they receive far more than they give--but our patients, families, and staff all know what a wonderful difference volunteers make--because they bring the most important gift of all--caring.

Gentiva Hospice is seeking an office volunteer to help with the day to day operations. The ideal candidate is caring, dependable and is eager to learn. The position allows for a flexible schedule, requiring only a few hours of their time a week and is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting to gain experience in effective communication, and office administrative duties, working as a part of a team to provide the very best of patient care. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and a TB test all of which is paid for by Kindred Hospice. Training will be provided, giving you the confidence to be a great volunteer.
