Mission Statement

The Barranca PTO is committed to supporting the teachers and students at Barranca Mesa Elementary in Los Alamos, NM. We do this by raising money through different activities and fund raisers.

Description

The Barranca PTO is a non-profit organization comprised of parents and teachers from Barranca Mesa Elementary in Los Alamos, NM. We are committed to raising money this year to support our ongoing goals and upcoming projects such as:

  • Providing our teachers, therapists, nurses and counselors with stipends to purchase educational materials
  • Helping fund field trips and school assemblies
  • Paying for continuing education courses for our teachers, therapists, nurses and counselors
  • Supplementing the hot lunch program to provide lunches for those students for whom lunch may cause an economic hardship
  • Installing an outdoor climbing structure which would enhance our children’s outdoor time
