Mission Statement

TicKIDS is a non-profit [501.C3] organization formed to source unused corporate tickets or last-minute cancellation of entertainment tickets, unsold tickets and individual donations of funds and tickets to redistribute to children's groups in metropolitan areas nationwide. These tickets give deserving, needful kids an opportunity to enjoy the many and diverse cultural, sports and entertainment events in their metropolitan area that they would otherwise be unlikely to enjoy or able to afford. It often gives them a glimpse of the world outside their stressed neighborhoods.

Description

ticKIDS is making it our business to intimately know the goals and achievements of kid’s groups that assist less advantaged children, youth and students and youth-at-risk in metropolitan areas nationwide and reward them in a positive tangible way. Often, only the largest kid’s organizations have the resources and contacts to access benevolent reward opportunities - like free tickets to the circus, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and similar events. ticKIDS, in addition to maintaining support of well-known organizations, will provide a conduit as well to the abundant lesser-known kid’s groups - but more importantly - source many more opportunities to attend cultural, sporting and entertainment events for children’s groups than is currently being realized.

ticKIDS will capitalize on the national economies of scale of accessing the dominant sports franchises, touring companies and artists and entertainers to provide tickets for distribution to kids on a national scale while local chapters source local event tickets. TicKIDS will also solicit tickets from national sponsors to support ticket auctions to underwrite fundraising efforts. Through national coordination of sponsors, ticKIDS will solicit sponsorship, volunteers and unused corporate tickets from major corporations initially through joint marketing relationships but principally through diligent relationship building in the corporate sector.

Foundation support will also be sought to provide seed money to establish the individual offices, offset administrative costs and cover costs for special events. ticKIDS will capitalize on the technical economies of scale offered via the internet to provide a nationwide network of access to children’s groups and access to cultural and entertainment opportunities by kid’s groups.

TicKIDS web presence will also improve access to tickets by kid’s groups through an interactive inquiry structure. Kid’s group sponsors, once assigned an ID and password can access the ticket pipeline and request tickets in the area of interest of their group. The ticKIDS website will also increase the availability of tickets by actively marketing this new portal and new medium of distribution.
