Mission Statement

Welcoming the Stranger is a non-profit organization that provides free classes in English, computers, and citizenship to immigrants and refugees in the greater Philadelphia region.

Description

Founded in 1999, Welcoming the Stranger has taught more than 3,000 students from 99 different countries!

Using a few paid teachers and over 40 volunteers each term, classes are offered at locations including: Langhorne, Morrisville, Warminster, Bensalem, Newtown, Southampton, and Harleysville.

Welcoming the Stranger is a fully independent, IRS-approved, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
