Mission Statement

FIRST TEE, an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, has as its mission; to impact the lives of young people from all walks of life by creating affordable and accessible golf facilities to serve those who have not previously had exposure to the game and its positive lessons. In particular, THE FIRST TEE strives to teach the sport and the game's inherent values to economically disadvantaged children. THE FIRST TEE teaches the game of golf as well as important life skills to underprivileged youth.

Description

The BATTLE OF THE HILL GOLF TOURNAMENT weekend event will begin on Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Madison Hotel in Washington, DC. All participants for this event will be guests of the Madison Hotel for the weekend. On Friday evening, we will kick off the event with a players/sponsor mixer from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm with a buffet and open bar. On Saturday, the golf tournament will start at 9:00 am and will be completed by 3:00 pm. The evening awards gala at the Madison Hotel will begin with a VIP reception from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm, followed by dinner, the awards ceremony and live entertainment at 8:00 pm.
