To acquire and distribute resources to support educational opportunities that cannot be met through existing state funds in Sweetwater County School District #1.

Description

Sweetwater One Public School Foundation is a local 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2006 to support students in Sweetwater County School District #1.

The Foundation was established after a team of educators and community members recognized the need for additional enrichment opportunities in the District.

Through charitable contributions, the Foundation helps to provide educational opportunities for students that are not provided for by public funds. State education funds are sufficient to pay for basic education. Resources are provided to focus at the basic and below education levels. Currently, funding does not stretch far enough to provide for an educational program that will help students move "beyond the basic" educational experience.
