Mission Statement

BT Partners strives to bring about ecological and equitable development in Haiti and beyond by filling skills and knowledge gaps for the most vulnerable. With a focus on youth, women, girls and rural farmers, BT believes in a comprehensive approach to poverty alleviation that meets immediate needs, builds capacity to tackle current and future problems, and nutures the values that enable better stewardship of natural resources and community.

Description

Beyond Travel works in Haiti and in Togo where it partners with local community groups. Groups are chosen based on their proven commitment to promoting human dignity, and the viability of their approach to improving livelihoods, access to health care, education and the environment.

Beyond Travel recruits international volunteers to fill in skills and knowledge gaps for its partners. Volunteers work side by side with their local counterparts and make a real difference through skills transfer and the development of practical and local solutions to global problems.
