Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Boys & Girls Clubs programs have taken members from the Clubhouse to the White House; from the games room to the corporate boardroom; from the high school orchestra to Carnegie Hall.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound we provide kids with a fun, safe, and educational place to go after school. We have several clubs in the South Puget Sound that are looking for volunteers to help with after school programming. Opportunities include working with youth on art, athletics, homework help, and more! Volunteer hours are typically after school between 3 PM and 7 PM. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please visit www.bgcsps.org/volunteer to download and fill out our volunteer application. Applications can then be mailed to 3875 S. 66th Street Tacoma, WA 98409.
