Description
Every year, Las Cumbres helps children, adults, and families to lead healthier and happier lives. The agency was incorporated in 1971 with a structured program of day habilitation services for adults with developmental disabilities residing in Los Alamos. Services for adults, children, and families have expanded since then to best meet the growing and changing needs of the Northern New Mexico community. Today, the organization is one of the largest social service providers in Northern New Mexico, offering direct services and outreach programs in Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, and Santa Fe Counties, and reaching almost 6,000 individuals each year. Because of the rural nature of this part of New Mexico, there are few social service programs available to families. Las Cumbres Community Services is frequently the only agency providing urgently-needed, center-based and in-home services to families.
