The Mission of Presbyterian Children's Village is to promote healing of the spirits of children and families broken by violence, addiction, poverty, mental illness and other serious problems.
The Village has designed a wide range of life-changing programs to provide support and services for at-risk children and families and to prevent them from being referred to the child welfare system. Services fall into four categories: (1) Residential, (2) Community-Based Child Welfare, (3) Behavioral Health and (4) Prevention.
- Residential Servicesare provided on the Rosemont campus and include Residential Treatment for adolescents with serious mental health and emotional issues, and Semi-Independent Living for older adolescents who require a transitional living experience in preparation for independence.
- Community-Based Child Welfare Services, provided at the Preheim Center, includes Kinship Care for children living with extended families, Foster Family Care for children who need safe and nurturing temporary family homes, In-home Protective Services (IHPS) and Alternative Response Services (ARS) that strengthens families to avoid displacement, and Adoption.
