Mission Statement
The mission of Parents Helping Parents is to help caregivers of individuals with a disability, and of any age, receive the support and services they need to reach their full potential by providing information, training, and resources to build strong families and improve systems of care.
Description
With 40+ years of supporting families, our experienced staff members have a national reputation for being a trusted source of information for helping parents, caregivers, and children and adults with any disability or diagnosis.
At Parents Helping Parents, we believe that together we can change the world, one person at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time.
The PHP mission and vision guide us in all that we do. Parents Helping Parents offers a robust menu of services and programs: 1:1 guidance, webinars, and online learning on special education, public benefits, assistive technology, and more.
PHP advocates for systems change in the disability community, provides you with the most relevant, up-to-date information in the most accessible way possible, and empowers parents, caregivers, and professionals to be the most informed and confident as possible.
PHP staff members know what it’s like to have a loved one with a disability. Most staff members are parents of children with a disability. We understand how complex and sometimes overwhelming it is to find what you need for you, your loved one, and your entire family. Since 1976, PHP has empowered tens of thousands of families like yours.
