Mission Statement

The purpose and mission of the American Canine Compassion Tutelage Society (ACCTS) is:

To support a reduction in the number of canines and select other animals euthanized in the United States every year. The rescue, rehabilitation, re-homing and sanctuary of canines and select other animals. To provide selective financial and volunteer support to other companion and humane organizations that seek to facilitate the work of humane care and treatment of companion animals and other wild or domesticated animals, including their procurement from auction or from other humane groups, transportation, medical care, rehabilitation, behavioral modification and re-homing services. To save the lives of adoptable canines and select other animals through an adoption program that stresses appropriate care. To help owners of and those seeking ownership of canines and select other animals through programs that provide education, research, and specialized services. To educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their canine(s) and select other animals, to reduce the numbers of unwanted canines and select other animals in animal shelters.

Description

ACCTS was established to help canines and select other animals that find themselves in bad situations. In addition, ACCTS makes every effort to help pet owners and those seeking to be a pet owner. We have programs available that: -Ensure Senior Citizens can retain their beloved pets despite many adverse circumstances. -Help children learn the responsibility of pet ownership. -Create and encourage the desire to become animal caregivers in multiple fields of interest. -Provide fun activities and events for animal lovers and their pets
