Mission Statement

The mission of Ordinary People International is to offer extensive services that enrich the quality of life and contribute to the health and vitality of the community by providing a safe haven community center for people in need with respect and compassion for each person's value to society.

Description

Based in the rich traditions of the Jane Addams Hull House where people received a myriad of services under one roof, OPI is a communal nonprofit demonstrating the profound effect of intergenerational exchange as a vehicle to uplift and inspire the human spirit.

We receive donated products from a diverse group of locan and national partners and sponsors. THe donated items are distributed to our community members whose age group range from children to seniors. These items range from food, clothing, computer equipment, office furniture, and personal hgyiene items.

OPI embraces people of all ages by impacting their lives spiritually and holistically and increase cooperation, interaction, or exchange across five generations.

Our core values are:

Respect: A way of being that is considerate of each individual’s "gift" to the world that exhibits special regard for interacting with others in a dignified manner.

Compassion: Each person, regardless of age, ethnicity, background and experiences is treated fairly and impartially.

Goodwill: The ability to see need and respond benevolently with kindness, understanding and unconditional love.

In general, Ordinary People International is dedicated to improving the quality of life and daily living for our clients. Through its Community Center, families come closer together, children learn and grow, young people learn how to be leaders, individuals become self-sufficient, seniors thrive and flourish in their elder years and all people are healthier in sprit, mind and body.
