Mission Statement

WHS Mission Statement

The Westport Historical Society is an educational organization dedicated to preserving, presenting and celebrating the history of Westport, Connecticut. It is committed to increasing awareness of the importance of preserving our town’s heritage and its historic buildings and landmarks.

Description

We provide programs for children and adults. Our volunteers are involved in archival research, oral history and costume collections.

We have a 4 exhibits a year in our gallery managed by our exhibits committee.

We have a gift shop with signature Westport items. Our cobblestone barn features a diarama with a narration on Westport history.
