Empowering families academically and economically for self-sufficiency through family literacy programs.

Description

We accomplish our mission statement by running family literacy programs at several locations throughout Palm Beach County. Family Literacy is a four (4) component program - Adult Education, Early Childhood Education, Parenting, and PACT (Parents and Children Together) Time. Through these 4 components, we educate a parent, prepare a young child for school, and establish the home as a learning place.

S.B. Idea, Inc’sFamily Literacy Academies provide adult education, parent education, early childhood education and a time for parents to work with their children to develop the skills they need to be ready for school. Parent involvement is the key to a child’s success in school. When a parent is able to read, write and speak English and values education then success begins at home. Our organization is requesting your support in accomplishing this goal.
