Mission Statement

The vision of Big Coal River Watershed Association is to, at the least, maintain the status quo of our watershed while planning, implementing, and achieving short and long term goals to restore and protect our watershed so that it is a safe, clean, and healthy environemnt within which to raise a family, enjoy recreatinal activities and operate a business. Learning from past generations while using all available resources to restore and protect our watershed based upon the needs of the present and future generations.

Description

Watershed organization gathering environmental data, working with at risk youth, planning and implementing beautification projects, and trying to overall improve the qualities of the communities we serve. Our boundaries cross 2 counties and we have partnered with various business, organizations, town governmnets, and individuals wanting to make a difference.
