Mission Statement

To lead the fight to overcome the challenge of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

Description

Epilepsy is the third most-common neurological condition after Alzheimer’s disease and stroke and affects nearly three million Americans, but few people know that it can affect anyone, anywhere at any time.

The Epilepsy Foundation, a national voluntary health organization established in 1968, leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy.

Several volunteer opportunities exist within the Epilepsy Foundation. Contact our office (301-459-3700) to find out more details or visit our website at www.epilepsy.com
