to spay or neuter companion animals to shelter homeless, unwanted and abused or neglected companion animals. to find nurturing, permanent homes for homeless companion animals. to educate the public about relevant animal issues. to help control disease among companion animals. to humanely euthanize feral, seriously ill, aggressive, or otherwise unadoptable companion animals.
Description
P.A.L. is a non-profit state and federally licensed volunteer humane organization established in March of 1974. It is a "shelterless" shelter that works with a Northwest Indiana animal control facility. It is dependent upon foster families to house homeless coompanion animals and also the cooperation of the animal care and control facility. It is determined to provide fostered companion animals necessary medical treatment. P.A.L. is currently serving Northwest Indiana and Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
