Mission

Liberata Dance Theatre, Inc. (LDT) was formed for the purposes of providing dance and theatre works with themes created mainly from Caribbean, African and African-American's rich history and culture to the people of New York State, the Caribbean Islands and other international countries. In addition LDT wants to
present works inspired by different social, environmental and global issues that are affecting everyone.



Description

Through the Corporation a process of exchange performances and workshops will be offered for the promotion of dance, theatre, training, education and entertainment.

(LDT) was incorporated in 2003 and obtained its 501(c) (3) not-for-profit status in 2005 . LDT is an inter-generational company that produces multi-discipline performances that include: Dance, Drama, Music, Song and Spoken Word. LDT has an international board of advisors from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, France, The Gambia, Germany, Holland, and Italy. The advisors in Curacao formed in 2008 their own foundation, Liberata Dance Theatre Curacao Connection (LDTCC).
